Live for the little things

  

Someone once told me to always live for the little things in life.

Live for 5 am sunrises and 5 pm sunsets where you'll see colors in the sky that don't usually belong. 

Live for road trips and bike rides with music in your ears and the wind in your hair. 

Live for days when Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays you're surrounded by your favorite people who make you realize that the world is not a cold, harsh place. Live for the little things because they will make you realize that this is what life is about, this is what means to be alive.

There is Beauty in Simplicity

These are some drawings I did two or three years ago. My theme was to study African women and its different traditions, cultures and different ways of seeing the world. Art is a form of expressing yourself, of expressing on what you believe. With a brush on your hand you are capable of telling the whole world who you are, feeling free to express yourself. 

The beginning of a new era

"A musician must make music, an artist must paint, a poet must write, if he is to be ultimately at peace with himself" Abraham Maslow

Before entering into the world of architecture I had always been guided to study Business and follow my family tradition. 

While studying Maslow's theories at school for a project of economics I realized who I was and who I wanted to become. I realized Management, Economics and the Business world wasn't made for me, and I decided to change my final decision upon my future and follow a new path, my real path. A path based exclusively on my tastes, experiences and emotions. I couldn't stop thinking about Maslow's quote, " An artist must paint..., if he is to be ultimately at peace with himself". Today we had our first lesson of Architectural Expression at university and now, I know that I am where I want to be and I couldn't feel better with myself. 

If we wait until we are ready, we will be waiting for the rest of our lives.
